Keywords:Vector vortex, Orbital angular momentum, Charge detection

Vector vortex beams possess inhomogeneous polarization distribution in their spatial profile in addition to Orbital angular momentum (OAM) thereby finding immense applications in optical communication. An effective and easy technique for the detection of OAM content in these beams is shown by studying the propagation dynamics of the beams through a tilted lens. The interesting intensity patterns are recorded to visualise the topological charges at a specific position where beam breaks up, for both the vector field and ellipse field singularities.
