[9p-Z18-12] Formation of gel-like agglomerates of nanoparticles during laser ablation in liquids

Very recently, we have found that laser ablation of CaO powder dispersed in ethanol leads to the formation of gel-like structures via nanoparticle aggregation. Although it was suggested that the nanoparticle agglomeration was induced by electric charge provided from ethanol, the mechanism of this process is unclear. To clarify the mechanism, in the present research, we have investigated influence of the solvent on the gel-like structure formation using other alcohols.
