Polarization independent wavelength filter is required in WDM optical communication and interconnection. In this report we describe a experimental polarization independent wavelength filter composed of TE0/TE1 mode conversion Bragg grating incorporating a resonator cavity and TM0/TE1 polarization mode converter. Polarization independent 1 nm wide flat-top wavelength transmission peak and 30 dB extinction ratio were attained.
