A circuit-based system with the simplest form of nonlinearity, which is derived from an intrinsic response of materials, was proposed to serve as the reservoir in reservoir computing (RC) system. We show that insufficient dynamics in such systems can be assisted by external control in order for them to perform like complex dynamical systems. Moreover, we studied the performance of this dynamic system under different system frameworks, divulging the correlation between structural adjustments of reservoir and their performance in processing different types of tasks. Our results are expected to generate application prospect of using various materials based devices for informational processing.
