[12a-A301-3] Current status and prospects of new multi-component material: High-entropy alloys

Toshiyuki Koyama1, Shun Suzuki1, Yuhki Tsukada1 (1.Nagoya Univ.)

Keywords:phase stability, phase diagram, diffusion

Recently, high-entropy alloys have been attracting attention as a new category of multi-component materials. Firstly, the current status and future prospects of this field is explained. The phase stability and diffusion in high-entropy alloy is discussed based on the CALPHAD method and diffusion theory. Furthermore, the new approaches, i.e. materials informatics on high-entropy alloys, is also demonstrated.
