Keywords:organic semiconductor, printed electronics, bar-coating method

The π-conjugated polymer, PBTTT thin films was fabricated by the bar-coating method, and the polymeric aggregation and molecular orientation were investigated by atomic force microscopy and polarized UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. The aggregation shapes depended on the coating condition such as solvent selection, solution concentration, coating speed, and ellipsoidal or rod-shaped aggregations were observed. Besides, the polymeric main chain was macroscopically aligned parallel or perpendicular to coating direction under particular coating conditions. In the lecture, aggregation behavior and film forming dynamics will be discussed.
