The ferroelectric liquid crystal (FLC) is expected as next-generation liquid crystal display materials. We can expect the increase of the tilt angle and a rise in SmA-SmC* phase transition temperature by adding nematic liquid crystal in this FLC. We investigated the nematic liquid crystal concentration-dependent and the liquid crystalline kind about each physical properties of FLCs that nematic liquid clystals are Added in this study. as a result of experiment, It turned out that tilt angles increased by adding the nematic liquid crystal with the high clearing point in FLC, and a decrease of the phase transition temperature become small.
