In our laboratory, we are working on the development of technology to efficiently introduce substances into cells by making Au-made artificial TNT and inserting artificial TNT into cells. The applicant has been working on the development of technologies for fabricating Au nanotubes of various sizes using this technique and injecting substances into cells via the nanotubes. In this paper, we report that the efficiency of transfection of low-molecular-weight calcein and protein was improved to more than 90% by using the system using this nanotube.
