[12p-A410-5] IoT devices for agricultural big data
キーワード:IoT, big data, agriculture
Phenotypic characteristics such as crop growth and yield are influenced by environmental factors such as air temperature. It is also affected by weeds, microorganisms and so on. Such information is important in production management, breeding, and development of new cultivation methods. Unfortunately, data of plant traits and the environment is short. Goal 2 of the SDGs states, "End hunger by 2030". It is not impossible if there is agricultural big data consisting of useful data. Therefore, we are investigating research on collecting time-series data using multifunctional IoT devices (Field Servers) and drones, extracting plant trait data from image data, constructing big data, and discovering knowledge using big data. As a fundamental solution to create big data, an experiment field designed to data collection (called a data farm) is created in a corner of a farm. In data farms, we grow crops to "harvest" useful data.
