Keywords:multimode interference, fiber lasers

Multimode interference (MMI) effect is one of the means for applying optical fibers to fiber-optic sensors and tunable lasers. The transmitted wavelength can be controlled by changing the parameters in the MMI structure. In this report, the temperature-sensitive MMI structure was fabricated by using a no-core fiber as the core and the liquid as the cladding in the multimode section, and was incorporated into the fiber ring resonator. We report on the laser oscillation wavelength depending on the temperature of the MMI structure.
