Photon-counting computed tomography (CT) is a measurement technique to observe CT image which having information of X-ray photon energies. One of the advantages of this technique allows us to quantitatively analyze target material using the X-ray attenuation coefficient. In this study, we present a proof-of-concept study with LiCl aqueous solution and successfully observed CT image of commercial lithium battery using the photon-counting CT. This technique would be expected to opens novel analyzing pathways for nondestructively measure lithium reactions in commercial lithium-ion batteries.
