[12p-B409-3] Influence on inkjet jetting of dynamic-surface-tension

Naoki Morita1, shigeki Takahashi1, Tsutomu Nishiwaki1, Shinri Sakai1 (1.Yamagata Univ.)

Keywords:inkjet, surface tension, tugging time

Influence on jetting by dynamic-surface-tension of water-based ink was discussed. After ink was jetted from nozzle, “tugging” time, between end of jet-filament was broke up from nozzle and main drop was separated from jet-filament, was measured by changing contents of surfactants in liquids. Tugging time became longer when surface tension was higher, which was considered to be due to growth of main drop, and also influence of viscosity was larger resulting longer tugging time by slight increase of viscosity.
