We have succeeded in fabricating ZnO microspherical crystals by laser ablation in the air, and demonstrated UV Whispering gallery mode lasing by photoexcitation. In this study, influence of ambient gas pressure on the fabrication of ZnO microspherical crystals was investigated. The crystals were successfully fabricated under the pressure from 760 – 10 Torr. On the other hand, the emission size of laser-produced plasma was expanded by decreasing the pressure.
