In order to realize brain-specific computational schemes such as consciousness/sub-consciousness, prediction, inference, memory, attention, self, etc., novel computational principle, architecture, and devices are required, which are very different from those in von Neumann-type computers. In this talk, I will introduce the brainmorphic computing paradigm, which we have proposed, and our effort for its physical implementation.
