[12p-B508-9] Q-switched Fe:ZnSe laser at 4 μm pumped by an Er: ZBLAN fiber laser

An Q-switched Fe:ZnSe 4 μm laser is demonstrated under the pump of 2.8 μm Er:ZBLAN fiber laser at liquid nitrogen temperature. The slope efficiency is 46% in CW operation. When the pump source was 2.6 W and repetation rate of AOM was 10 kHz. The duration of full width at half maximum(FWHM) was measured to be 20 ns. The maximum peak power of 1.1 kW was achieved at the repetaion rate of 5 kHz.
