Particle beam therapy is a cancer treatment that destroys the genetic information of tumor cells by aligning the Bragg peak with those location. We are developing a real-time irradiation position monitor using an Electron-Tracking Compton Camera (ETCC). In this study, we performed a basic measurement by impinging 12C beam of 290 MeV/u on PMMA at HIMAC. In this talk, we will present the results of the experiments and comparisons with simulations using Particle and Heavy Ion Transport code System (PHITS).
