The composites of Melon with 1.5 wt% MoO₃ calcined under various conditions, especially temperatures and times, were evaluated based on the decomposition amount of Methyl Orange as an organic material. Various amounts of MoO₃ were deposited on the Melon thin film in ultra-high vacuum, and the electronic state of the interface between Melon and MoO₃ was directly observed by ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). In addition, an energy diagram was depicted from the data obtained from the experiment. So, I will present the mechanism by which the photocatalytic activity of Melon is enhanced by the deposition of MoO₃ by the Z-scheme model.
