Premonitory sign of plant wilting damage due to an air plasma effluent gas exposure was evaluated by electrolyte leakage method. It is shown that electrolyte leakage rates significantly increase with plasma effluent gas exposure time and those could be detected before the wilting phenomenon is observed. It is also shown that the effect of the plasma treatment on plants might be potentially reflected in the leaked electrolyte composition.
