We present second harmonic generation (SHG) behavior in Au nanoparticle/SiO2/Si substrate structure. We tried boosting the SP-enhanced SHG signals by taking advantage of optical interference inside SiO2 layer. At the appropriate SiO2 layer thickness, the SHG intensity outside the structure was 2.5 times higher than that from Au nanoparticle/SiO2 structure.
