A combination of a giant optical activity by split-ring resonators at microwave frequencies and a magneto-optical effect by magnetic materials gives rise to directional birefringence independent of polarization, referred to as magnetic-chiral (MCh) effects. We have already reported experimental and numerical studies on MCh effects by a single metamolecule in a microwave waveguide. In this contribution, we study non-reciprocal microwave responses of MCh metamaterials in a free space.
