In 2002 the authors discovered the phenomenon of introduction of molecules into cells by plasma irradiation. After that, we worked on elucidating the mechanism of this phenomenon and have been trying to improve this technique for practical use. In this lecture, we introduce the plasma molecule / gene transfer method and its mechanism, and introduce its applications from animal cells to the field of agriculture and fisheries.
