[13p-A401-7] Nanoscale spectroscopy of low-dimensional materials in electron microscope

Keywords:electron microscopy, 2D materials, phonon

The recent development of a monochromator for transmission electron microscopes (TEM) has pushed up the energy resolution to better than a few tens of millielectron volts, allowing us to identify the absorption peaks for optical and vibrational excitation from a single-layer 2D materials by electron energy-loss spectroscopy. This presentation focuses on such nanoscale optical and vibrational spectroscopy of 2D materials by using monochromated TEM.
