[13p-A402-9] Preparation and Electromechanical Properties of NaNbO3 - based ceramics

In this work, antiferroelectric NaNbO3 ceramics were fabricated by solid state reaction. Additive compound of Ca(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 was evaluated. The dielectric and electromechanical properties are evaluated.
NaNbO3 ceramics were sintered at 1050-1400 °C. The dielectric constant was measured using an impedance analyzer. The Polarization- electric field (P-E) and strain – electric field (s-E) hysteresis loops of the samples were measured using a combination of a programmable signal generator and a charge amplifier or strain gauge.
X-ray diffraction reveals that the superlattice reflection characteristic of anti-ferroelectrics was observed. However, P-E hysteresis is single or constricted, and does not form a complete double hysteresis loop. Although rapid expansion and contraction due to switching has been confirmed in s-E loops, there remains a problem in its symmetry.
