[13p-A404-2] Production of chloroauric acid by alternate current electrochemical method

We have discovered a method to produce chloroauric acid without using strong acids, by using the alternate current electrochemical etching of gold wires in KCl solution. The change of the solution color suggested the formation of chloroauric acid. By applying Turkevich method, gold colloid was formed. We have observed the gold nanoparticles from the gold colloid with TEM and SEM-EDS.
