Organic-inorganic layered perovskite compounds composed of alkylamines and lead halides have been attracted much attention as optical materials because of their excellent light-absorbing ability and light-emitting properties. When chiral ammine is introduced to perovskite compounds, circular polarization properties such as circular dichroism (CD) are exhibited. In this study, control of absorption and CD was examined by changing chirality of the perovskite compounds using chiral ammines. The (S, R)-MBAPbBr films prepared from (S, R)-MBABr with PbBr2 showed excitonic absorption peak, which was blue-shifted compared to racemi one. The (S, R)-MBAPbBr film showed strong CD around exciton absorption region.
