Ionic liquids have negligibly low vapor pressure, they do not volatilize even under ultra-high vacuum. I focused on this feature and did experiment of photoelectron spectroscopy. However, studies on ionic liquids by photoelectron spectroscopy have often pointed out problems of non-uniformity and purity of the liquid surface of the ionic liquids. In this research, I have overcome these problems and more detailed electronic states can be obtained by improving the substrate of photoelectron spectroscopy.
