Keywords:Hyperaccumulating Plants, Phytoremediation, Toxic elements

Several plants possess an ability to accumulate toxic elements such as cadmium and arsenic with high concentration in their body. Phytoremediation is a technology which utilizes the ability of these plants to remediate polluted environments with toxic elements. In this presentation, our field trials of phytoremediation for the polluted soils and water, and laboratory experiments including RI imaging in order to determine the transportation and accumulation mechanisms of the elements are introduced.
