[13p-B415-3] Observation of ultrafast phenomena using chirped pulse digital holography

In this study, we demonstrated the chirped pulse digital holography for measuring the sequence of ultrafast phase and amplitude images, which was proposed recently. In experiment, we measured the phase images of compressed air from a nozzle, and the phase images of spark discharge between the electrodes of a spark plug using two 35 fs object pulses with the time separation of 3.7 ps. From these phase images, the variations of index of refraction were measured.
