In recent years, attention has been paid to a space division multiplexing method using a multi-core fiber. In this study, assuming application to a polymer optical switch that switches optical paths between multi-core fibers, we first studied a high-efficiency optical connection of a polymer waveguide using a single-mode fiber, a mirror, and a self-forming lens. The schematic diagram of the optical coupling system on which the result analysis was performed is shown. This time, in order to optimize the high efficiency optical coupling between the single model fiber that constitutes the multi-core fiber and the polymer waveguide with mirror and lens, the loss characteristics of the single model fiber were analyzed for various parameters.
