Keywords:plasmons

A plasmon resonance sensor using the tip of an optical fiber as a detection unit is promising as a micro-region high-sensitivity sensor excellent in remoteness. Existing reports have shown that the operation is usually in the short wavelength band of visible light, whereas the 1550nm band, which has excellent remoteness, has many structures that are difficult to fabricate, such as fine patterning of gold in the minute sensing part. Therefore, a Taber waveguide plasmon sensor for 1550nm band that can be easily manufactured was studied.
