▲ [14a-A402-3] The Annealing Effects of PEDOT:PSS Hole Transport Layers in Tin-Lead (SnPb) Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells
Keywords:flexible, perovskite, tin-lead
Perovskite solar cells have attracted much attention for portable and flexible power source applications due to their numerous advantages such as high efficiency, low cost and light-weight. In this study, tin-lead based perovskite solar cells with wide range of light absorption from 300 nm up to 1050 nm have been demonstrated for their used in flexible perovskite solar cell application. Flexible perovskite solar cell devices are made possible due to their low temperature solution processing during fabrication. In this research, flexible perovskite solar cells with inverted structure comprising of PEDOT:PSS hole transport layer, mixed monovalent (FA+ and MA+) and divalent (Sn2+ and Pb2+) cations based perovskite layer, PCBM and C60 bi-layer electron transport layer, and silver electrode coated on top of flexible PET/ITO substrates via solution spin coating and thermal evaporation technique have been fabricated. The PEDOT:PSS layer for each device has been controlled via thermal annealing at different temperatures and their effect on the thickness and overall improvement of the device performance have been investigated. Perovskite solar cell device with the highest device performance of 15.84% efficiency, current density of 27.95 mA/cm2, open circuit voltage of 0.78 V and fill factor of 0.72 has been obtained in the measured device. The used of PCBM layer which promoted spike electronic structure within perovskite solar cell devices has been investigated as well and the finding has shown that the PCBM layer has been able to improve the efficiency of the perovskite solar cells by at least 30%. In this exploration, the performance of the flexible tin-lead perovskite solar cell devices has been optimised via controlling the annealing temperature of the PEDOT:PSS hole transport layer and the overall effect of enhancement has been investigated.
