[14a-A403-9] PID phenomena and light irradiation effects for thin film silicon photovoltaic modules

Yukiko Hara1, Atsushi Masuda1 (1.AIST)

Keywords:thin-film silicon solar cells, PID, Delamination

The delamination phenomena of thin-film silicon solar cells and the effects of light irradiation on potential induced degradation (PID) were investigated. It was found that delamination occurs only at the area with voltage application and that atmospheric humidity is involved in delamination. It was also suggested that PID is suppressed by light irradiation even UV component.
