Self-assembly of metal ions and organic ligands gives extended framework structures, so-called metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Same combination of metal ions and organic ligands often yields different framework structures. In this work, we investigated the effects of vibrational strong coupling of solvent molecules in selective synthesis of metal–organic frameworks.
