[14a-B415-6] Design of a semiconductor-based bull’s-eye cavity toward high-efficiency quantum media conversion using a gate defined quantum dot
Keywords:Photonic nanostructures, Quantum dots, Quantum information
To realize quantum media conversion (QMC) between electron spins and photons, gated-defined quantum dot (QD) is one of the promising approaches by its high electric controllability and eligibility toward large-scale integration. However, low conversion efficiency of single photon to single electron spin is one of the remaining challenges. We are aiming to improve this conversion efficiency by using photonic nanostructures and have reported basic experimental results on photonic crystal resonators that can introduce metallic gates which can define QDs. This time, we report on the design of a resonator structure that employs a bull’s eye type structure with metallic gates and functions for two orthogonal polarizations required for application to QMC devices.
