A scanning nuclear microprobe beam system was constructed for structural analysis of materials at the accelerator facility of the University of Tsukuba. The Elastic recoil detection analysis (ERDA) is one of useful methods for detecting hydrogen in materials. In addition, ERDA in transmission geometry (transmission ERDA) can provide depth profile of hydrogen in thick films. It is made possible to measure simultaneous imaging of light elements including hydrogen in materials by combining the ion microbeam scanning system with the transmission ERDA and PIXE analysis method using 8 ~ 9 MeV 4He2+ beams. In this presentation, we will report the outline of the ion microbeam scanning system and the transmission ERDA and PIXE analysis method.
