[14a-PA1-12] A study of the relationship between textbooks and convective study effects

In Japan, school children learn about convection in the fourth year of elementary school. From the concept survey test of after the learning, we found that they do not understand the concept of the convection at all. The differences of teaching tools brought the difference results of score. It was also found that there were differences in the degree of fixation due to differences in teaching materials. However, it was found that the more serious cause might be misleading descriptions of textbooks used by elementary school students. From April 2020, children will use a new textbook. We will also report how the problem will be solved.
