半導体製造装置やフッ酸などを使わずに，マッフル炉を用いてソーラーモータを駆動させることのできる教育用シリコン太陽電池を製作する方法を研究している．製作時間を短縮するために，不純物拡散源の濃度と拡散時間の異なる太陽電池を製作し，その短絡電流について調べた結果，太陽電池の製作からモータ駆動までを2コマ（3時間）で実施できることが明らかとなり，学期中の実験実習への導入が時間的に可能となることがわかった．
