In the pulsed wire discharge (PWD) method, which enables the production of organic-coated metal ultrafine particles, there is a correlation between the atmospheric gas pressure during ultrafine particle production and the particle size of the produced ultrafine particles. It has been reported that the particle size is reduced. At present, the preparation of ultrafine particles with a particle size of several nm is expected in various fields and industries. In the production of ultrafine particles using PWD, there has been no report on mass synthesis of ultrafine particles with a particle size of several nm. In this study, we aimed to establish a process that can produce ultrafine Ni particles with a particle size of several nanometers by changing the atmospheric gas pressure using PWD, and to expand the selectivity of the particle size in PWD.
