CIGS solar cells have the highest efficiency among thin-film solar cells. When designing multi-junction and intermediate band solar cells, CuGaS2 which has the same crystal structure as CIGS, is expected as a wide-gap host material. On the other hand, for the buffer layer, a material having a wider gap than the mainstream CdS is desired. Therefore, in this study, we evaluated how the substrate temperature change when n-ZnS satisfying the conditions is thermal evaporated on CuGaS2 affects the measurement results.
