Pyrophosphate Na2MP2O7 is promising as a cathode material for sodium ion secondary batteries. It has a stable network structure and shows three-dimensional diffusion of sodium ions. However, we hope to further improve the discharge potential, so high potential Na2NiP2O7 was focused. In this study, we tried to elucidated the crystallization mechanism of Na2NiP2O7 glass, proposed a method for activating the positive electrode, and evaluated its electrochemical properties.
