質量分析を用いたメタボローム解析により新規腫瘍マーカーの発見や、がんの病態を解明することを目指した研究が世界的に進められている。我々はこれまでに迅速に分析結果が得られるアンビエント質量分析を用いて、種々のヒトがん組織を分析し、脂質や一次代謝物に由来する複数の新規腫瘍マーカー候補を発見した。加えて機械学習を基板とした診断アルゴリズムを構築し、既存マーカーの感度、特異度を凌駕する診断法の確立を企図している。
