M2 of nearly 1.2 is successfully obtained by only increasing the number of DBR layers from 14 pairs to 18 pairs in photonic crystal lasers. This is because that the increase of the number of DBR layers may have suppressed the influence that the light reflected ununiformly from the lower electrode through DBR layers could lower the beam quality.
