Photoacoustic imaging is attracting attention as remote and non-destructive inspection technique for a wide variety of subjects such as inspection of concrete infrastructures, welded structures, furthermore, medical applications, and so on. We considered down-sizing, lower-pricing laser ultrasonic inspection system with simple configuration in order to extend industrial applications. Ultrasonic measurement by self-mixing interferometry using micro-chip laser was conducted to apply to welding inspection. Ultrasonic measurement performance evaluated in our experiments will be reported.
