[14p-PA1-53] Direct Observation of Nucleation Process of Micron-Sized Magnetic Vortex by Means of Time-Resolved Photoemission Electron Microscopy
Keywords:magnetization dynamics, magnetic vortex, photoemission electron microscopy
This research aims to observe nucleation process of a magnetic vortex in a micron-sized magnetic disc, by employing "transient demagnetization by laser pulses" and "time-resolved photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) with soft-Xrays". Through this experiment, it is expected that "the time constants of emergence" of magnetostatic- and exchange-energy, which have already been known for a long time, can be quantitatively determined for the first time.
