△ [14p-PA1-56] Ferromagnetic resonance of Co ultrathin film
Keywords:Spintronics, Ultra-thin ferromagnetic metal, Ferromagnetic resonance
In this study, we conducted an experiment to observe the ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) signal of ultra-thin Co. Usually, a thin film ferromagnetic metal has a small spin number of a sample, and it is difficult to detect an FMR signal. In the thin film sample, the influence of the surface and the interface becomes remarkable. It is expected that the ferromagnetic resonance signal changes depending on the selection of the underlayer. When Ta was used as the underlayer and an ultra-thin Co was deposited, the FMR signal was observed and its half-value width was narrow like the bulk Co. This result means we could make a high-quality ferromagnetic ultra-thin film.
