▲ [14p-PA1-64] Current-induced motion of synthetic antiferromagnetic skyrmion bubble
Keywords:skyrmion, spin-orbit torque, antiferromagnet
Recently, magnetic skyrmion in ferrimagnetic/antiferromagnetic systems has attracted much attention for realizing skyrmionic device application because of being free of some of limitations including skyrmion Hall effect which ferromagnetic skyrmion is imposed. Here we show formation and current-induced motion of skyrmion bubbles at room temperature in a synthetic antiferromagnetic system. We show that the synthetic antiferromagnetic skyrmion bubble can be driven with an order of magnitude smaller current density than conventional ferromagnetic skyrmion bubble at comparable velocity in addition to its insignificant skyrmion Hall effect. The achieved favorable properties are attributed to the employed stack structure which is engineered so that the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida interaction, DMI, and SOT act in a concerted way.
