[14p-PA1-69] Ambipolar thermoelectric power generator based on asymmetric surfaces of magnetic topological insulators

We propose a thermoelectric (TE) conversion element based on the asymmetric surface states of magnetic topological insulators (TIs) and theoretically study its TE performance. Assuming two effects of magnetic dopants: surface gap and ionic impurities, we calculate ZT by using Boltzmann transport theory. As a result, we find that ZT can take a large value below room temperature. In this presentation, we will also discuss magnetization switching by the combination of TE-motive force and electric field effect.
