Biological systems perform flexible information processing using environmental and/or spontaneous noise. Stochastic resonance (SR) phenomenon is an example in which noise improves the system performance such as signal transmission capavility. In this presentation, a device with negative differential resistance using pi-conjugated polymer is fabricated as a noise generator and the effect of noise on stochastic resonance is investigated.
