[15a-B309-3] RGB-spectroscopic OCT imaging using a single-panel CMOS color camera

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a technology that enables non-destructive, contact-free and non-invasive tomographic imaging of living tissues. Therefore, it has been used for the diagnosis of retinal diseases in ophthalmology. Most commercial OCT applications adopt near-infrared (NIR) light as a light source, which has little effect on absorption and scattering by living tissue, so that it is possible to image deep into living tissue. However, color information is lost from OCT images. In previous research, we developed a full-field OCT (FF-OCT) system using a visible-range light emitting diode (LED) and succeeded in high-resolution spectroscopic imaging of living tissue. In this study, a single-panel CMOS color camera was introduced into the visible light source FF-OCT system, and RGB spectral tomographic images were captured in one shot by simultaneously injecting red, blue and green light, and these were captured as RGB images.
