In this study, a graphene was formed on a heavily P-doped diamond to form a graphene/n-type diamond structure. Electron emission from the structure was characterized by field emitted electron spectroscopy (FES) and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS). The FES and UPS results showed that the electrons were emitted from Fermi level of the graphene at low applied voltages, but were emitted from the valence band of the diamond at increased applied voltages. It was confirmed that even a single graphene layer modified the electron emission mechanism.
